When young amateur vocalist Ploychompoo won second place on "Singing Kids", a talent contest aired on Channel 3, she was quickly signed by major label GMM Grammy as a trainee artist.

She started her career by starring in a special edition of Getsunova’s “Klai Khae Nai Khue Klai” music video.
But even before her big break, she was entertaining fans with her remarkable range on the Internet having set up her own channel at YouTube at the age of 12. Despite her work with GMM Grammy, she has remained loyal to her online fanbase, uploading new local and international songs and videos to her YouTube channel every few weeks.
In less than two years, Ploy has passed the coveted 1 million subscribers milestone, and 44 of her music videos have more than a million views each, making her one of the most popular music creator channels on YouTube in Thailand today.
“I’m so happy to receive the YouTube Gold Button Award,” she said recently. “While I was a trainee artist at GMM Grammy over the last two years, I started to create and release YouTube clips without any expectation about subscribers. Today, I’m delighted to see there are more than 1 million subscribers following my YouTube channel.
“A lot of people visited and view my first solo single “Chak Din Chak Gnor” when I released it on YouTube, which makes me feel proud to sing. Singing is my passion and it makes my fans happy too. Lastly, I want to say to all the young aspiring singers, work hard, study hard, be patient and always follow your dreams –they are never far away.”
