Chinese MH370 relatives demand more support from Malaysia Airlines

Beijing (dpa) - Malaysia Airlines should offer more support to Chinese relatives of those lost on its missing flight MH370, protesters said Wednesday.

"It's not enough that they just offer to meet with us twice a month," said Jiang Hui, 41, one of around 10 relatives gathered in front of the airline's office in Beijing.
The company closed its liaison office dealing with the families in April, said Jiang, whose mother was on the flight.
She also demanded access to surveillance videos from Kuala Lumpur airport before the plane took off on March 8, 2014, to see who actually boarded.
"This material has been withheld from us until now," she said.
Regarding the debris that washed up on Reunion Island last week, "I don't care whether it's a piece of the aircraft," she told dpa.
"I just want to know whether the incident was deliberately caused."
The Boeing 777 disappeared shortly after take-off en route to Beijing, along with the 239 people on board, including 153 Chinese.
Debris apparently from a 777 was found on the French island of Reunion off eastern Africa last week, and taken to France for analysis to determine whether it was part of the missing plane.
