The Union Parliament has approved the presidential security bill which says no legal action can be taken against an ex-president.
Although MP Phae Than submitted a proposal to leave out the clause “no legal action or penalty can be made against a retired president for activities in the line of duty”, the Parliament approved it by adding the words “in line with the law”.
