State officials told to ready help channels for drought affected

The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has ordered all agencies to come up with ways of delivering assistance to drought-affected people.

“We have to ensure that people will have water for consumption,” NCPO deputy spokesperson Colonel Sirichan Ngathong said Wednesday.
She said General Teerachai Nakwanich, in his capacity as NCPO secretary-general, expected administrative officials, police and soldiers alike to help combat the imminent drought.
