Subway’s raises security level to highest

The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand has raised its security level for its subway service to the highest level following terrorist attacks in Brussels, MRT Governor Peerayudh Singpatanakul said Wednesday.

Peerayudh said security officials will guard against subway stations on around the clock basis and the number of security officials will increase at stations used by a lot of foreigners.
He officials will patrol around the maintenance depot every hour.
He said police sniffing dogs and bomb disposal teams would be on stand by 24 hours.
MRT security officials would also coordinate with government’s intelligence agencies and would strictly check vehicles that use parking areas of subway stations.
