Pheu Thai Party acting deputy secretary general Chawalit Wichayasuit expressed confidence Monday that the voter turnout would be overwhelmingly high for the charter referendum in August.

He said he believes so because most voters felt frustrated that they had democracy for two years.
Chawalit said he believed that most people were not happy with the draft constitution because the electoral system was designed to weaken the next government.
He said the next government would have no stability and its efforts to tackle economic woes would be restricted.
