The seminar entitled “New Step Next Step”, which was to be held on Friday and Saturday, aimed to discuss the national reform plan, NRSA spokesperson Kamnoon Sidhisamarn said.
The objective was in line with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s goals including the Pracha Rat, or “people’s state”, policies. While the seminar had been cancelled, Kamnoon said other seminars related to national reforms would be organised in Bangkok and at Parliament. He said the NRSA Whip would further discuss those events.
A budget to sponsor the seminar was reportedly diverted from other NRSA projects, but the spokesperson and his team declined to comment on the matter, saying they were involved only in arranging the seminar’s content and had no idea about the budget planning.
