Wanchai confirmed dead by Paolo Memorial doctors
Doctors at the Paolo Memorial Hospital confirmed that Dr Wanchai Danaitamonut, who shot himself following over-six-hour standoff at the Suparp Hotel, has died of severe gunshot wound at his right temple.
After two hours of failed attempt to revive Wanchai, doctors announced at 8:30 pm that the lecturer of Phranakhon Rajabhat University, died at 7:15 pm.
Wanchai, who held himself hostage, shot himself at 6:44 pm after policed tried but failed to talk him to surrender.
The Paolo Memorial Hospital will send Wanchai's body to the Police Hospital for an autopsy Friday morning.
