Bangkok Bank chief Kosit passes away at 73
Kosit Panpiemras, executive chairman of Bangkok Bank, succumbed to cancer yesterday at the age of 73.
Kosit, a former deputy prime minister, had been executive chairman at Bangkok Bank since March 1, 2008.
A royally sponsored bathing rite will be performed today, along with funeral rites at Thepsirintharawas Temple from today to Saturday.
Kosit served many important roles in the country, including as deputy secretary-general of the National Economic and Social Development Board and also minister of the Finance and Industry ministries.
