Lone gunman robs Bangkok Bank Lampang
A lone gunman robbed a branch of Bangkok Bank inside a Tesco Lotus superstore and made off with Bt190,000 in cash.
The robbery took place at 1:30 pm at the Tesco Lotus Lampang.
Punnasa Khuankham, a bank teller, told police that the gunman wearing a flu mask put a pistol and a note on her counter. The note said: “Have gun, surrender all money”.
Punnasa said she was frightened and handed over Bt190,000 in cash from her drawer to the man, who fled in less than a minute.
While leaving the store, the man thew a ping pong bomb onto the ground, slightly injuring several shoppers nearby. He then fled on a motorcycle.
