PM uses Article 44 to seize land for cooperative
Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has invoked total power under the interim charter’s Section 44 to turn over to the state a 30-rai (4.8 hectares) plot in the Klong Chiangrak Yai area of Pathum Thani’s Klong Luang district.
The order, published on Friday in the Royal Gazette with immediate effect, stated that the use of the land would be transferred by the Treasury Department to a cooperative established to solve public land encroachment via the Pathum Thani Model.
The land will be used according to the model’s objectives, Finance Ministry regulations, and the memorandum of cooperation (MoC) for Ban Mankhong on state-owned land.
