Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s “Tesakij” municipal law enforcement officers on Saturday place safety barrier fences along both sides of the road in Bangkok’s Pak Klong Talad area to prevent vendors from parking their trucks to unload flowers and go
This move follows the Friday deadline for the vendors to leave this iconic flower market in line with an eviction order against which some 300 vendors on Friday night protested.
The vendors staged a road blockade with flowers and garlands near Memorial Bridge at 10pm resulting to a severe traffic jams before they abandoned the blockade by 1am on Saturday with no injury nor death reported.
