Chularat Thowanna’s body was found on her blood-soaked mattress on Saturday. A knife was found stuck deep in her neck. Her T-shirt was pulled up to her breasts.
Police said her boyfriend, a police officer in Nakhon Pathom’s Sam Phran district, tried to call her but her phone was not on. He asked Chularat’s teacher friend who lives nearby to check on her.
The teacher friend broke into the locked room and found her body.
Chularat’s phone and a gold necklace were missing.
Saraburi provincial deputy police chief Colonel Saksit Wichiansan led a police team to arrest Chatri Ruamsoongnern, 27, a worker at a cement factory, who rented a room in the same apartment as Chularat.
He went missing after Chularat’s body was found.
Police found that Chatri had scratches on his back and chest. His left hand also had a deep wound.
Police had to cancel the crime re-enactment Sunday as a lot of local people turned up at the crime scene.
