No applicant for KTB's top job

The Finance Ministry has so far received no application for Krungthai Bank's presidency, said Somchai Sujjapongse, permanent secretary for finance and KTB chairman.

The application period started from July 4 and would end tomorrow. KTB is Thailand's second-largest bank by assets.
Somchai said that the board was looking for someone who is keen on digital banking.
Incumbent KTB President Vorapak Tanyawong will step down after his term ends on November 8. He informed the bank's board of directors earlier that he would not apply for the second term.
Vorapak was appointed by the Yingluck government, succeeding Apisak Tantivorawong who now serves as the finance minister in the Prayut administration.
KTB has been a major tool in financing government projects.
