The national anthem can now be heard twice daily at the Myawaddy bridge on the Thai border.

People using the bridge, officials and tourists are asked to respectfully salute the flag.
It was initiated by the Myawaddy district development committee to encourage people to "love and cherish" the country, said committee chairman Than Shwe.
A resident said: "We should have been doing it long ago. The Thais do it twice a day."
The national anthem will be played at 9am and 3pm at Myawaddy’s schools. This might be replicated across the country.
