Call for ancient lintel to be returned to Kingdom

“We suspect that the lintel on display at the San Francisco-based museum is from the Nong Hong Castle in our hometown,” Non Din Daeng Mayor Somchai Korchaisirikul said Thursday.
He said the lintel went missing a long time ago and it was reported recently that it was being displayed in San Francisco.
Somchai urged the government to help bring the lintel back to Thailand because it was part of the country’s national heritage.
“Nong Hong Castle also means a lot to local people. Please bring the lintel back,” he said.
