PM expresses alarm over Phetchaburi flood situation

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha is concerned about the flood situation in Phetchaburi province and instructed related agencies to evacuate flood-affected people and provide them with further assistance.

Government Spokesman Maj-General Sansern Kaewkamnerd Friday said the Phetchaburi governor directly updated Prayut on the situation and the Agriculture Ministry would soon explain to the public the water-management plan.
Phetchaburi’s Muang and Ban Laem districts have been inundated since Monday night by excess water from the Phetch dam following rainfall over the past week.
