Thailand may propose Wat Phra That Phanom in the northeastern province of Nakhon Phanom as a Unesco world heritage site, Culture Minister Veera Rojpojanarat said Monday.

A meeting of the country’s cultural world heritage site sub-committee resolved to ask the United Nations agency for inclusion on a tentative list by February 1 next year, as the famous temple was deemed to have outstanding universal value and met three out of the 10 of Unesco’s selection criteria, Veera said.
