"Today our founder and the man who discovered the Beatles passed awayat the age of 86. Allan Williams, you will be missed," the JacarandaClub wrote on Twitter.
"His legacy has allowed us to remain at the heart of the Liverpool music scene for almost 60 years and his memory will live on throug hevery band that plays our famous stage," it added in a message on its Facebook page.
Williams is credited with driving the band to Hamburg, where they spent several formative years in the early 1960s, and with managing their early bookings.
