Children will get chance to sit in PM’s chair at Government House event

Government House will host a children’s day event on Saturday under the theme “Land of Happiness from His Majesty the King’s initiatives”, with the highlight being the opportunity for youngsters to sit on the prime minister’s chair.

Col Taksada Sangkhachan, assistant government spokeswoman, said a variety of activities was planned that would be both fun and educational for the children.
“Besides having a chance to sit on the prime minister’s chair, the premier also wanted the kids to play and learn from the activities the government prepared for them, especially about the King Rama IX’s initiatives,” she said.
Prime Minister Prayut Chanocha will preside over the opening ceremony of Children’s Day at the Bureau of Royal Household, Sanarmsuepa, before arriving to launch the event at Government House.
“He will then watch a Khon performance and a display of Muay Thai, both performed by children, before posing for photographs with children who brought fame to the country as well as those from three southernmost provinces. He will also address all the participating youths,” she added.
While at Government House, the children will also be able to visit the Thai Khu Fah Building and look inside the Cabinet meeting room.
