Chumphon boy, 9, first to sit on PM’s chair at Children’s Day event

A nine-year-old boy from Chumphon province became the first kid to sit on the prime minister’s chair at the Children’s Day event in Government House on Saturday.

“I’m so happy and excited to sit on the chair of the prime minister. I want to take a photo with him. I dream to become a defence minister one day,” said Chawalvit Boonme, a student in third grade at Wat Chumsaeng School, Sawee district, in Chumphon.
“I hope the PM will visit us one day at Wat Chumsaeng School. Many of my friends, who could not come today, really want to see him. We want him to see us at our school,” the excited nine-year-old said.
