Tambon official shot dead in Pattani truck attack

Sama-ae, a former kamnan of the tambon, was driving his truck to work when three attackers on another pickup, their faces covered with cloths and hats, sprayed him with bullets at a Ban Pato intersection at 9am. 
Police collected almost 100 spent AK-17 and M16 bullets from the scene. 
It is suspected that the murder motive could be a personal conflict or the ongoing unrest in the region.
