Greyhound Cafe opening in Britain this year

Mudman, retailer of international food brands such as Dunkin’ Donuts and Au Bon Pain in Thailand, will open a flagship branch of its Greyhound Cafe chain in England in the fourth quarter of this year.

Chief executive officer Nadim Xavier Salhani said the first restaurant in England would be opened after an investment of about Bt80 million to Bt100 million, and the chain would be expanded through franchising, targeting one or two new countries every year.
In Thailand, the company plans to launch six to nine more Greyhound Cafe branches for a total of 19-22 restaurants by 2020, with total investment of Bt15 million to Bt20 million each, he said.
Hansa Sermsri, chief financial officer, said the company recorded total income of Bt2.99 billion last year, up 3.5 per cent from 2015, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation of Bt255.9 million, up from EBITDA of Bt252.7 million a year earlier.
