Water tourist attraction features elephants in Surin

Locals in Surin province have developed a new attraction for the summer – a water-splashing area in an almost-dry portion of the Chi River.

People in Ban Don Ong in Muang district have organised the tourist attraction along a portion where the river’s water level is low enough to reveal the layered reddish bedrock under the surface of clear water.
On both sides of the river are lush trees and the attraction includes elephants spraying water at tourists. The stretch of the Chi River covers more than one kilometre, with food vendors and life-vest rentals available.
This attraction will open until late April.
