Local protesters dig in heels over anti-corruption activist’s visit

They did so to maintain pressure on Veera, who they claimed was still in the area.
Veera planned to lead reporters on a visit to the casino to find out whether it is located in the overlapping territory between Thailand and Cambodia.
In a Facebook post, he questioned why the military allowed this to happen.
The locals, including traders who make a living at the casino, said they fear that Veera’s visit would cause them trouble. 
So they prevented him from leaving the resort he had stayed at, before moving to the police station.
