Public prosecutors have indicted five monks from Dhammakaya Temple in Pathum Thani for resisting a junta order when the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) searched the temple for fugitive former abbot Phra Dhammachayo.

The monks are Phra Maha Nopporn Punyachayo, assistant director of communications for Dhammakaya; Phra Khru Thawalsak Yatisako; Phra Pasura Dantamano; Phra Khru Suwit Suwichako and Phra Khru Sangkharak Sotathiko.
The information was revealed to reporters by temple lawyer Panya Thawornakaranin after he brought Phra Maha Nopporn and other seven monks to sign an acknowledgment document about the charge of resisting the junta order with Thanyaburi Provincial Court prosecutors on Friday.
The monks immediately returned to the temple without comment.
