Tata Motors expects to increase imports of Ultra six-wheel light truck

The new Tata Ultra six-wheel light-duty truck enjoyed strong sales at the 38th Bangkok International Motor Show, said Sanjay Mishra, chief executive officer of Tata Motors (Thailand). 





With a special price Bt899,900 during this launch period, the Tata Ultra was well received, he said. After 20 bookings made at the show and through dealers, the India-based manufacturere expects to increase imports of the Tata Ultra to Thailand.
The new six-wheel light-duty truck is powered by a 3.0-litre, four-cylinder common-rail diesel engine delivering maximum power of 140 horsepower and maximum torque of 390 newton-metres. The Tata Ultra is equipped with an anti-lock braking system. 
The company also claims the truck is fitted with superior technology and design to help ensure low ownership costs through higher uptime due to good driver comfort, superior aggregates and customisability. 
The Tata Ultra normally retails at Bt965,000.
