Governor holds meeting over Krabi family massacre
Krabi Governor Pinij Boonlert met with various government agencies on Wednesday to discuss the massacre of village headman Worayuth Sunglung and his family.
Eight people were killed execution-style and three others were severely injured when assailants shot Worayuth and his family late on Monday night.
Representatives of the Interior Ministry, police and troops as well as officials from the Krabi Social Development and Human Security Office and Krabi Public Health Office attended the meeting.
The governor instructed police to step up protection for the three survivors, whose conditions were improving.
The governor also instructed public health officials to provide a psychiatrist for the two surviving children.
