‘DJ Onnoi’ turns herself in over tomboy assault

A famous tomboy deejay turned herself in to police on Monday to face charges related to her attack on another tomboy, which resulted in her requiring 100 stitches to cuts inflicted on her face.

At the Wang Thong Lang Police Station, Chuenjit Taymeesak, widely known as “DJ Onnoi”, tearfully said she would like to apologise to the victim and her family.
“I really didn’t intend to do that,” she said. “Things just became chaotic after she verbally abused my girlfriend.”
The attack occurred in a Bangkok nightlife venue last week and an arrest warrant for Chuenjit was issued on Saturday after police were unable to contact her by phone.
However, Chuenjit denied that she had gone into hiding and claimed that she had only been busy trying to raise money to post her bond after she was officially charged.
Her lawyer Sutas Kaosainan said Chuenjit had denied that she started the fight.
After being charged with causing severe injuries to another person, Chuenjit was released on a Bt150,000 bond.
