King grants embers for cremation of six-year-old boy

HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn will graciously grant embers for the cremation of a six-year-old boy who died as a result of having been left behind inside a school vehicle and whose body was donated to the Thai Red Cross Society.

Chanachai Kongphon, a student of Choenglen School in Ayutthaya, passed away on Wednesday.
He sustained critical injuries after being left behind in a locked school pickup two days earlier. The driver has admitted that he forgot to check if all the children had left the vehicle at the school.
Chanachai’s parents have agreed to donate their son’s body to help other patients. It is therefore possible for the family to ask for the royally-sponsored cremation ceremony.
