Phuket Town tailor shop destroyed by fire

The shop, called “My Boss Collection”, was on the first floor of the building and was full of fabric, timber shelving and furniture. A fire team from Phuket City spent 20 minutes putting out the flames.
The owner, Kanokwan Uthaipan, said she was at the shop almost all the time but at 11am she went out for some business and locked up. At midday, she received a phone call from a neighbouring shopkeeper telling her that her shop was ablaze.
Damage is estimated at Bt2 million, and Kanokwan said she did not have any insurance.
The cause of the fire is unknown, and police and fire fighters are continuing their investigations.
