Man kills estranged wife, parents-in-law before committing suicide

A Samut Sakhon man apparently shot dead his estranged wife and her parents on Tuesday morning before taking his own life.

The couple’s three-year-old daughter also suffered a gunshot wound to her left leg.
Khokkham police in Muang district were alerted at 9.30am and at the scene found the bodies of Yerm Nuchprasert, 67, his wife Somporn Nuchprasert, 60, their daughter Waleerat Nuchprasert, 33, and their son-in-law Woradej Tiungnawapol, 33.
The daughter, Chonthicha Nuchpraert, was rushed to Samut Sakhon Hospital.
Also discovered were a 9mm pistol and two .38-calibre revolvers.
Yerm’s son, Issaraporn Nuchprasert, 37, told police that Woradje and Waleerat had been separated for more than a month.
He believed the killings resulted from a quarrel.
Neighbour Thongdaeng Rasima, 52, told police he’d seen Woradej arrive in his car and call the family outside to meet him. When they didn’t respond, he climbed over the fence and called again.
Thongdaeng said Woradej then kicked the door open. The neighbour heard shouting, followed by about ten gunshots and the sound of a woman crying.
The neighbour said he saw Woradej walk outside to his car, but then run back inside, followed by the sound of two more shots.
