Flash-flood warning for four Suphan Buri districts

Suphan Buri Governor Nimit Wanchaithanawong on Tuesday issued an urgent warning for residents of four districts along the banks of the Thachin River to brace themselves for possible flash flooding.
The governor told residents of Si Prachan, Muang, Bang Pla Ma and Song Phi Nong districts to monitor the river height on an around-the-clock basis.
Nimit said the river's level has been rising because of heavy rains and floodwaters upstream.
On Tuesday morning, the level of the water on the Thachin River in Muang district was about 16 centimetres below the banks and the Municipality was reinforcing flood levees.
