Phuket governor checks on dog shelter progress
Phuket Governor Norapat Plodthong visited the Suan Pa Bang Kanun Dog Shelter on Tuesday to check on its renovation.
The work in progress includes both exterior and interior management systems and infrastructure such as dog faeces management, an animal clinic project, clinic construction, and an office and food donation centre.
The renovations also includes pouring concrete floors in containment areas, which are currently bare ground, with installing drain pipes for waste, making the areas easier to clean and maintain.
The dog shelter currently takes care of about 500 dogs.
