11 full dams affected if forecast rains come

The Hydro and Agro Informatics Institute on Thursday warned that 11 dams are reaching their capacity, with some already full, and so will be affected if more rain comes.

The institute issued the warning after the Meteorological Department warned that there could be rainfall from Friday to Monday due to the clash of high pressure and low pressure masses.
The institute said the 11 dams at or above capacity are: Krasiew Dam with 119.75 per cent of capacity, Kiew Khor Mar (103.31 per cent), Mae Ngad (99.39 per cent), Chulabhorn (95.2 per cent), Lam Phra Ploeng (88.48 per cent), Srinakharin (87.56 per cent) Bang Lang (87.06 per cent), Kiew Lom (86.64 per cent), Nam Oon (86.52 per cent), Thap Sela (86.09 per cent) and Prasae (85.8 per cent).
