Security ramped up in Hat Yai after Yala bombing

Security checks became more intense in Hat Yai in Songkhla on Monday morning after suspected Muslim insurgent detonated a bomb at a large market in Yala.
District officials, police and soldiers were carefully checking vehicles at three locations and patrolling Hat Yai business areas, scrutinising parked vehicles.
A security source said the agencies had been warned of major attacks from January 20 to 26.
