The fire started at the two-storey house in Ban Karong village, Tambon Ta Then, at 12:15 am and quickly engulfed a charcoal storage building next to it. 
Firefighters took about an hour to control the blaze after the two buildings were burned down. 
The house owner, Amporn Somsuay, 75, said she smelled smoke and discovered it was coming from her electric rice cooker. 
She woke up her family before calling the police and fire brigade.

Fire destroys house, charcoal storage in Suphan Buri

A house and a charcoal storage building in Suphan Buri's Song Phi Nong district were burned down in the early hours of Monday.
