Complaint against tree felling

Srisuwan Janya, president of the Stop Global Warming Association, on Tuesday lodges a complaint with the Central Administrative Court against Bangkok Governor Pol General Aswin Kwanmuang and the director of the Chutuchak District Office, after the city cut down a big rain tree that was more than 50 years old on Saturday.
Srisuwan demanded in his petition that officials replace the fallen tree with 100 Chamchuri trees at least 30 centimeters in diameter in the area.The tree partially blocked a footpath.
