Most goats rescued as fire sweeps through Songkhla pens

The majority of 100 goats were rescued as a fire swept through three pens in a seaside village in Songkhla on Monday evening.
Only three goats died in the 6pm fire that burned downs three connected pens in Ban Bor Daeng village in Tambon Bor Daeng, Sathing Phra district.
Villagers joined hands, using use bins to fetch seawater to try to fight the blaze, but the strong sea wind overwhelmed their efforts and the fire spread quickly.
The pens were owned by three villagers, Li Chobngam, Yusoh Limhem and Yib Chobngam.
Police said a garbage fire nearby spread to one of the pens before the blaze escalated.
