Python stuck in water drain rescued in Phuket
A two-metre long python has been rescued after it got stuck in a water drain cover in Wichit on Wednesday.
Locals reported to Kusoldarm rescue workers that the python was stuck in the water drain cover near the Wichit Police Station in Mueang Phuket.
Poonsab Saeueng, a specialist snake catcher from Kusoldarm Foundation, and other rescue workers arrived to find the top half its body was jammed outside the hole.
They opened the drain’s cover and chiselled away at the hole before slowly pulling the python out.
It took about 90 minutes to release the snake. It was treated for some scratches before being releases into the forest in the Khao Phratheao Non-hunting area in Thalang.
