Chaiyaphum man drowns in village pond
The body of a villager was found in his village pond in Chaiyaphum’s Ban Khewa district at 7.45am on Tuesday, police said.
Dawan Mungmee, 51, had left home to attend a merit-making event on Monday morning and had not returned home.
The house where he was attending the event is about a kilometre from the pond.
Police believe the man got drunk at the event and accidentally fell into the pond while heading home.
