Chakkraphan resigns as deputy BMA governor

Chakkraphan Phiewngam has resigned as a deputy governor of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

Chakkraphan submitted his resignation to BMA governor Aswin Kwanmuang on Sunday and his resignation took effect on Monday.
A source from the BMA said Chakkraphan resigned after a complaint was filed that the terms of bidding for two garbage incinerator projects might benefit certain firms.
The two projects are for the building of garbage incinerators in Nong Khaem and On Nuj districts with a total budget worth Bt13 billion.
The National Anti-Corruption Commission and the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission are investigating the complaint.
