Phitsanulok province recorded its first Covid-19 patient who is currently undergoing treatment at Buddhachinaraj Hospital, the public health office announced on Wednesday (March 25).

The patient is a female and lived in Muang district, Athiwat Noiprasit, Pitsanuvej Hospital director, said.
“Previously, she had visited my hospital for a check-up before being sent to Buddhachinaraj Hospital,” he said. “My hospital has monitored CCTV to identify those who had touched or contacted the patient, in order to divide them into high-risk and low-risk groups.”
Public health official Dr Piya Sirilak informed that the doctor had confirmed her infection could be traced to her visits to entertainment venues in Bangkok.
Provincial Governor Pipat Ekkaphan added that Phitsanulok had 84 suspected cases -- 78 of them did not have the virus, five are awaiting test results, and one infection has been confirmed.
