“Both ministries are urgently finding solutions to bring the situation back to normal as soon as possible,” said Prasong Poontaneat. “We affirm that there is absolutely no intention to close Thai Airways.”
Within two months, he said, measures will be announced to solve the national carrier’s liquidity problem, “such as by increasing capital or borrowing money, but we have to study this thoroughly first”.
“And we have to evaluate how long the Covid-19 situation could last.”
