The incident took place in Bangkok’s Lat Krabang district, where Sukhothai-native Ritthichai Lekkul, 37, was found dead in his Toyota pick-up outside a warehouse.
The police found the deceased’s wife hugging his body. She passed out and had to be sent to a hospital while officers collected 11mm pistol rounds spotted in the car.
Sawang Lekkul, the dead man’s mother, 61, said her son had established the company Ritthichai Transport with his three other brothers.
They had seven trucks bought with a Bt1.7-million loan, but after the business was hit hard by the Covid-19 crisis, Ritthichai became stressed.
His body was sent to the Royal Police Hospital for an autopsy.
