More rain is likely in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East, the Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Friday (August 28), due to the weak monsoon trough lying across upper North and the upper Northeast.

Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea and the South will ease rains in the South.
The department also mentioned a category 2 tropical depression over the west Pacific, the east of the Philippines. This storm is forecast to move to South Korea and Japan but will have no effect on Thailand.
