Park director Kritsiam Kongsatree revealed that during the long holidays there were tourists from different regions visiting the park since 6am. He said more vans than usual were coming into the area, as visitors had the opportunity to experience the first light of the new morning, embraced by the mist. On Sunday, the minimum temperature fell to 12 degrees Celsius, which is considered alluring for tourists to travel late in the rainy season.
According to official counts 2,528 Thai tourists and 16 foreigners visited the park on Friday. Rooms have been fully booked during the long weekend, but there are also tents in front of the park office that are still available to welcome tourists, officials said.
