The baht this week will likely move between 30.85 and 31.35, and between 30.95 and 31.10 on Monday, Poon Panichpibool, the Krungthai markets strategist, has forecast.
He added that the strengthening of the baht was in line with the dollar that had weakened slightly. Moreover, the market’s worries about Thai politics had eased, as the weekend's protests had ended without violence.
This week, the strategist advised investors to monitor economic reports around the world, since they could support the market to be risk-on. He added that Brexit and the conflict between the US and China were issues worth monitoring as well.
