A joint venture to alleviate global warming

BTS Group has joined hands with Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation and VGREEN, Kasetsart University in an effort to sustainably mitigate global warming.

 

Daniel Ross, the chief investment officer and member of the Sustainability Committee of BTS Group Holdings Pcl, Kiatchai Maitriwong, executive director of Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (Public Organization), and Asst Prof Rattanawan Mungkung, director of the Centre of Excellence on Environmental Strategy for Green Business (VGREEN), Faculty of Environment, Kasetsart University, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between 14 organisations from the public, private and academic sectors.

 

The signatory parties will be participating in the Carbon Offsetting Programme established with a goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from their business activities.

 

The objectives of this MoU are to demonstrate leadership in global warming, showcase corporate social and environmental responsibility, and support low carbon initiatives. Narissara Srisan, strategic communication adviser of BTS Group, also witnessed the signing ceremony at The Sukosol Hotel.
