Kind Bangkok bus driver saves dog from certain death
A video clip showing a bus driver stopping in the middle of a Bangkok expressway to rescue a stranded dog has won people’s hearts.
Earlier, several motorists had called the traffic radio station, JS100, urging authorities to rescue the dog as they feared it would be run over.
Soon after, the driver of air-conditioned bus No 166 stopped and opened the doors to let the dog in. The bus was headed to Chaengwattana Road.
The dog had strayed from its home two days ago and has been reunited with its owner.
The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority has given the bus driver and conductor a certificate of merit and a cash reward for their good deed.
